WINE TASTING AND DINNER
CHARDONNAY and WHITE BURGUNDY

How does the best new world Chardonnay compare with the well known names of white Burgundy? We will taste 5 of each, considering how modern winemaking techniques and a move to cool-climate regions have changed styles and improved quality in the last 20 years.
Wines will include renowned villages like Meursault and Chassagne, as well as some of the best producers in areas such as Central Otago (Felton Road), Russian River (David Ramey) and Tasmania (Tolpuddle).
A series of canapés with the tasting will be followed by:
Roast corn-fed chicken with confit potato and summer mushrooms
Strawberry pavlova
Coffee or tea with chocolate truffles
Served with more Chardonnay, a Pinot Noir, and a sweet wine to finish.
