It is exactly 40 years since the first English sparkling wine was launched into the market.
In just that short time they have become recognised as world class wines, and potentially the greatest rival to Champagne itself. No one exemplifies this more than Rathfinny Estate in Sussex, who’s rise has been little short of meteoric since their foundation in 2010.
Rathfinny Brand Ambassador Richard James will explain how their “Champagne” soils, grapes, and production processes have all contributed to them being acknowledged today one of the leading English producers.
We will sample from across their superb range of vintage wines and styles, accompanied by a special 3 course supper created by head chef Pramod.
