FINE WINE TASTING & DINNER
Introduced by John Hoskins MW
Thursday 10th November 2022, 7pm – NOW SOLD OUT – WAITING LIST ONLY
Following the Syrah tasting in August, this is a “Part 2”, looking at the bigger, richer, more hedonistic examples of that grape, alongside Grenache-based wines in the style of the southern Rhône. A range of top producers will include Henschke (2012 Hill of Roses and 2013 Keyneton Estate), Drew Noon (2007 Eclipse), 2005 Malcolm from Magpie Estate, 2005 Alban ‘Lorraine’, something from Sine Qua Non and of course a Châteauneuf du Pape or two. Several of these retail at £200+ and almost all of them are no longer available to buy, hence the very high price for the tasting!
A series of canapés with the tasting will be followed by:
Loin of venison with truffled mash and roast squash
Roast and fresh peach with raspberries and raspberry sorbet
Coffee or tea.
All with plenty more Shiraz and a glass of sweet wine to finish.
£195 per person. Limited to just 18 guests.
To book ring the wine shop 01480 458410.
Payment in full is required at time of booking. Tickets are not refundable.
£30 discount on b&b booked with wine events.
