Burgundy Fine Wine Tasting & Dinner
We start the new season of 2024 Fine Wine Dinners on Friday 2nd February with an indulgent look at Burgundy, hosted by Nick Adams, Master of Wine.
Burgundy is the spiritual home for both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and the inspiration to winemakers around the world to try and emulate. We will look at classic examples of both White and Red, covering all the main regions within Burgundy, including a Grand Cru. The evening will kick off with a glass of the iconic Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV which we feel is an appropriate start to the reflection of both the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.
Nick first visited Burgundy in 1985 and for nearly every year (pre covid) he was a regular visitor. During his career, he has visited and worked directly with many famous Domaines, and will share anecdotes and memories, as well as detail on the wines of the night.

Crab meat with chilli on sourdough toast
Soy-glazed pork bites with cucumber
Parma ham rolls with truffled egg mayo
Smoked salmon blinis
Wild mushroom vol-au-vents
Lobster ravioli with lemongrass and ginger sauce
Duck breast with dauphinoise potatoes, braised and grilled chicory and cherry sauce
Lemon meringue pie with pine nut ice cream
